Andrew Karos founded Boost Run in 2021. His background is the detail that most investors have overlooked — and the one that most directly explains why Boost Run exists, how it scaled so quickly, and why the analogy to CoreWeave’s founders is so precise.

CoreWeave was founded by Brian Venturo, Brannin McBee, and Michael Intrator — three commodities traders who began as Ethereum miners and pivoted to GPU cloud infrastructure. They had no traditional technology backgrounds. Their edge was their ability to see GPU infrastructure as an asset class, finance it like a commodities position, and operate it with trading-desk discipline. The result: from $16M revenue in 2022 to $6.2B TTM in 2026, now a $60B market cap company.

Andrew Karos has an effectively identical profile. He is a former co-founder and head of electronic trading at Galaxy Digital, where he built and monetized billions in credit facilities across six countries and thirteen data centers for Blue Fire Capital (acquired by Galaxy). His background is financial infrastructure — not software engineering, not academia. Like the CoreWeave founders, Karos approaches GPU infrastructure as a capital deployment problem: find the asset, finance it against contracted revenue, optimize the platform layer to maximize utilization, and generate asymmetric returns on deployed equity. Before founding Boost Run, he spent nearly a decade leading enterprise-grade GPU cloud operations for AI and HPC customers globally.

The parallel is not superficial. Both CoreWeave and Boost Run were founded by financial infrastructure operators who saw GPU compute as an underpriced asset class before the institutional market did. Both began by leasing GPUs and colocation space, financing against customer contracts, and building proprietary orchestration layers to differentiate on performance. The difference is that Boost Run is starting with a better capital structure — Dell finances 100% of hardware, requiring zero upfront equity — and is operating in a demand environment that is 5x larger than what CoreWeave encountered at inception.

The company went public via SPAC on May 8, 2026, merging with Willow Lane Acquisition Corp., raising approximately $134M in gross proceeds. As of listing, Boost Run had already signed $940M in non-cancelable GPU cloud contracts — an extraordinary commercial position for a newly public company that has been public for fewer than 30 trading days.
